Geo Energy signs USD150m contract for integrated infrastructure development
The project will bring the company’s road haulage capacity to 40-50 million tonnes per year.
Geo Energy signed a USD150m Engineering, Procurement and Commission (EPC) contract for the construction and development of its Integrated Infrastructure with the consortium, CCCC First Harbor Consultants (CCCC-FHC) and Norinco International Cooperation (NORINCO), two of the largest state-owned Chinese enterprises.
The Integrated Infrastructure comprises a 92 km hauling road and an associated jetty at the South Sumatera and Jambi Province, Indonesia.
The project, which is set to be completed between end-2025 to early-2026, aims to target a road haulage capacity of up to 40-50 million tonnes per year.
It will also support Geo Energy’s plan to increase production at PT Triaryani coal mine to up to 25 million tonnes per annum over the next few years.
