
SPH's Malaysian subsidiary halts operations
It was recording a fall in revenue and circulation over the past few years.
Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) has confirmed that its majority-owned Malaysian subsidiary, BIHM Group has stopped operations from 30 April, according to a media release.
Its business was noted to have been declining over the past few years due to falling revenue and reduced circulation.
With the onset of the pandemic, there has limited visibility as to the duration and extent of the impact on the business, the company noted.
BIHM Group, which SPH owns 70% of, operates the group’s magazines business in Malaysia.
