SBR International Business Awards 2020 opens doors for nominations

Submission of entries is until 22 May, Friday.

In its seventh straight year, the SBR International Business Awards is back to accept nominations for the most outstanding multinational companies who have established offices on this side of the region.

The awards programme aims to recognise the most remarkable contributions of international companies which have created an impact in Singapore's vibrant economy.

If you think your innovative project or best practice is growing the business and disrupting your industry, Singapore Business Review invites you to nominate and be recognised for your accomplishments.

Entries will be judged on their uniqueness and innovation, effectiveness and dynamism. Last year’s awardees are leading their respective industries, including AIA Singapore (Insurance), Hoffmann Quality Tools Asia Pacific (Machining and Tooling), Daimler Financial Services (Financial Services), and Edrington Singapore (Food & Beverage).

Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
