Top five tech stocks hit average returns of 77.7% YTD
AEM Holdings was the best performing stock in the segment with a 126.6% return.
The top five information technology (IT) stocks listed in SGX averaged a total return of 77.7% in YTD, according to an SGX report. This brings their three-year and five-year total returns to 391% and 486.7% respectively.
The best performing stock in the industry for the period is AEM Holdings, with a total return of 126.6%. This is followed by Hi-P International at 81.3%, Procurri Corp at 68.5%, UMS Holdings at 66% and CSE Global at 46.3%.
The 15 best performing tech stocks averaged a total return of 31.7% over the 11M 2019 period. Its three-year and five-year total returns came at 185.5% and 227.2%, respectively. These tech plays have a market cap of at least $100m and have a combined market cap of $10b.
Venture Corp recorded the highest market cap figure at $4.54b over the same period, followed by Hi-P International at $1.21b and Silverlake Axis at $1.12b.
Singapore’s electronics manufacturing output edged up 0.4% YoY in October, reversing seven straight months of decline, according to data from the Economic Development Board (EDB). Infocomms and consumer electronics saw the fastest expansion at 23.8%, followed by data storage at 4.2% and computer peripherals at 3.6%.
