Mermaid Maritime Public Company promotes Michael Christopher Watters to executive director for Mermaid Drilling

The board approved his appointment for him to maintain sound operating standards for the company's tender rig business.

Mermaid Maritime Public Company announced the appointment of Michael Christopher Watters as executive director for Mermaid Drilling.

Mr Watters, 59, will be responsible to manage and provide leadership to the offshore tender rig business of the company.

He was group HR director and interim drilling manager of Mermaid Maritime Public Company from August 2013 until his appointment. Before this, he was chief administration officer of Varada-HVR Drilling from 2012 to 2013 and group QHSE manager of Mermaid Maritime Public Company from 2010 to 2012, according to a Mermaid Maritime Public Company report.
