SG, Brunei ink deals to deepen cooperation in 3 areas

Singapore and Brunei inked two deals to deepen cooperation in energy, the green economy, and food and medical supply resilience.
The two memoranda of understanding (MOUs) were signed by Minister of Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong and Brunei’s Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah.
Under the MOU on cooperation in energy and green economy, the two countries will work together to achieve their respective climate ambitions, decarbonise industries, and enable economic growth in a low-carbon future.
Meanwhile, SG and Brunei will also be "developing the capacity and capability for mutual support in times of crisis, such as facilitating the efficient movement of food and medical products between the two countries through the second MOU.
