Sembcorp unit acquires 228MW of wind assets in India

The company’s gross renewables portfolio globally stands at 13.5 GW.

Green Infra Wind Energy Limited, Sembcorp Industries' wholly-owned subsidiary, has completed the acquisition of 100% share capital in two special purpose vehicles (SPVs) of Leap Green Energy Private Limited.

The SPVs own 228 MW of operational wind assets in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan, India.

With the addition of the wind assets and a 245MW acquisition pending completion, Sembcorp’s gross renewables portfolio globally now stands at 13.5GW.
