Ezra to bid for more contracts in Africa
Ezra, one of the oil & gas industry's integrated offshore support solutions provider, plans to bid for over $1 billion worth of deals from West Africa.
According to a Reuters report, the plan was revealed by Mr Lionel Lee, Managing Director of Ezra, following the company’s announcement that it has secured two landmark contracts worth approximately $80 million. One of the landmark deals will enable Ezra to enter the African offshore oil & gas market via a maiden self-propelled jack-up contract inked through the company’s Energy Services unit.
Commenting on the venture in Africa, Lee said, "This milestone contract in Africa marks our commitment to grow the Group and the Deepwater Subsea Services division into a strong integrated global player in the sector. The self-propelled jack-up is also Ezra's first vessel to be deployed in the fast growing African offshore market where we plan to make further inroads."
Ezra, the Singapore-based company which derives more than half of its sales from offshore support services, is also in the business of marine services and has recently set its foot on India’s energy market.
