Invensys Operations Management named Microsoft Industry Partner of the Year

The award recognizes Invensys for excellence and innovation in using Microsoft-based solutions like InFusion and Wonderware InTouch.

For example, New Belgium Brewing, the third-largest craft brewer in the United States, produces more than 600,000 barrels of beer each year. The brewer has used Invensys Operations Management solutions, including Wonderware InTouch® HMI, Wonderware® Historian, which fully utilizes Microsoft SQL Server 2008, and ArchestrA® System Platform as the backbone of its manufacturing execution system (MES).

“Beer brewing is an energy-intensive process, and, among other things, the Wonderware MES continuously monitors steam, water and electricity consumption to ensure optimal usage,” said Igor Valuyev, the company’s chief electrical and automation engineer. “Focusing on sustainability gives New Belgium the strength to grow our business, improve the welfare of our employees and reduce our impact on the environment. Another example of how Invensys and Microsoft collaborate is KapStone Paper and Packaging, who recently implemented Invensys Operations Management’s Avantis®enterprise asset management (EAM) solution with Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP solution.
