James Ang

James Ang is currently the Head of Asia of Dropbox, where he oversees Dropbox’s Channel business in key markets including Australia & New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Korea, Taiwan and India. A technopreneur at heart, James has more than 20 years in sales and leadership experience with leading technology companies. Prior to Dropbox, he held various leadership roles at Microsoft Asia Pacific and was part of its High Potential Senior Leader Bench Program, a program reserved for its top leaders. Once served as the APAC Cloud Partnership Lead, he was pivotal in building Microsoft’s Cloud business from its infancy to a leading position in Asia Pacific, growing its cloud business to US$0.5B.  

James is no stranger to digital transformation. As a leader, he embraces Disruption and Innovation. He is an active angel investor and is on the advisory board of different startups. He can often be seen amongst entrepreneurs and Startup founders as he searches for the “next big thing” to solve the world’s biggest challenges. He believes in the unlimited potential of the people in Asia, and is passionate about driving economic empowerment by providing better access to Education and Technology.

James Kane

James was working in the RFID industry for cards providers doing branding events, and felt the tech could be better utilised by introducing RFID wristbands and cashless into large events. As a veteran in the 'people' space (Hotel/F&B, sales/marketing, lifestyle/events), he founded RFID solutions provider GoGORILLA in 2012. GoGORILLA was acquired by cashless payments provider Sandpiper AG in 2016.

James MacKinnon

James MacKinnon is a Vice President of Burford Capital and a key member of Burford’s underwriting and investing team focused on Asia-Pacific, the UK and Europe.

A qualified solicitor in both England & Wales and Hong Kong, Mr. MacKinnon was a member of Herbert Smith Freehills’ International Arbitration practice in Hong Kong. He is an expert on third party funding law in Hong Kong and Singapore, and was a participant in the Third Party Funding for Arbitration Sub-committee of the Hong Kong Law Reform Commission (LRC) He began his legal career at White & Case LLP in London and Hong Kong, and later worked with DLA Piper in Dubai. Mr. MacKinnon also served as Counsel in the Secretariat of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC). Throughout his career, he has advised corporate and individual clients on high-value, complex disputes in the oil and gas, construction, financial and real estate sectors. Mr. MacKinnon received his law degree from Nottingham Law School and graduated from the University of Durham.

James Micklethwait

Before joining Kahoot in 2017, James held product and strategy leadership roles for some of the UK’s best known consumer brands, including Rightmove, ITV and BBC.

James enjoys spending his time with his family and skiing. James is originally from the UK, but recently moved to Norway.

He holds a BA degree from Oxford University.

James Tay is the Chief Executive Officer of Logicalis Asia. Prior to Logicalis’ acquisition of the NetStar Group in January 2010, he had held the same position in NetStar. An ICT industry veteran, James was President of Sales at EDS PLM in Asia Pacific prior to joining NetStar. He received his Master's Degree in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick, UK.

James Taylor

James Taylor is the General Manager for APAC at OnRobot.

He joined OnRobot from US-based Otis Elevator, where he was the Senior Director of New Equipment Innovation for the last three years. Prior to that, James spent 15 years in China, serving various establishments. Whilst in China, he was appointed the General Manager for Universal Robots (UR) from 2014 to 2016. At UR, he was instrumental in developing the business in China from start-up; established China offices, developed team and sales channels, created and executed the local business strategy.

James holds a B.S. in Biology from the US and a MBA from Rutgers Business School.
