Chart of the day: 3 in 4 S’poreans satisfied with property agents’ services
This was a drop from the two surveys before.
This chart from the Council for Estate Agencies shows that three out of four Singaporeans are satisfied with property agents’ services.
77% said they were satisfied, a decrease from 85% in 2018 and 79% in 2015. However, the CEA said this was still statistically high.
Consumers were asked to rate their property agents on 19 action statements. These were grouped by Knowledge/Expertise, Ethics/Conduct, and Service Excellence.

The average score for each attribute was derived based on the average mean score of all statements in the attribute. In 2021, there was a slight decline in the average scores across all three attributes of Knowledge/Expertise, Ethics/Conduct and Service Excellence, indicating an increase in consumers’ expectations for property agents to continue levelling up in these areas. However, scores were still high, at above five out of seven scores for each of the three attributes, as with previous years.
The 2021 survey, which was carried out online for the first time, involved 1,129 respondents. These comprised 648 consumers who have engaged the services of a property agent over the past year as well as 481 potential consumers who have not engaged a property agent before.
