My Greatest Child wins Made in Singapore Award for Educational Product

Their educational posters prioritise children’s effective learning and better understanding of their visual aids, which have reached more than 50,000 customers as of August 2018.

Singapore Business Review acknowledged the most innovative products that have been established as industry game-changers during the recently concluded Made in Singapore Awards and Designed in Singapore Awards.

Back on its second year to merit outstanding products manufactured and conceptualised in the country, this year's awards programme recognised companies who brought pride to Singaporean innovation and workmanship.

My Greatest Child bagged the Made in Singapore Award under the Educational product category, with their locally designed and printed educational posters.

Observing the lack of locally-made educational posters in bookstores, My Greatest Child decided to craft their own posters based on the requirements of parents and schools.

What sets apart My Greatest Child's educational posters from competition are their top grade properties, which suit customer's needs and yield to a child's better learning.

They use high quality inkjet CMYK printing colors, which make these posters brighter and more vibrant. Additionally, they also have a wipe-clean surface for children to draw, write or doodle on the posters without worrying about being unable to reuse them.

As for durability, the company's posters are waterproof on the front and are made thicker, so they would not get torn easily.

Lastly, their educational posters can be put up on any surface. They are light and will not drop easily when pasted on walls.

My Greatest Child has 16 unique designs of educational posters, which are categorized into animals learning, numeracy skills, shapes and colours, among others. It takes the company 18 months to see the results of these creative concepts and ideas that render to effective learning for children.

Whilst My Greatest Child has been around the educational materials retail sector for 10 years, they still continue to value feedback from parents, which are vital when it comes to designing
these award-winning visual aids. These posters are also subject to constant updates, which are necessary when it comes to improvement and accuracy.

In June 2016, Popular, the largest bookstore chain in Southeast Asia, picked up their educational posters and displayed them in more than 30 retail outlets in Singapore.

Besides catering to the local market, the company has also branched out to neighboring countries, with educators from Southeast Asian nations purchasing posters for their respective childcare centers. Their consumer base is also growing through customers spreading the word on their products as well as website and Facebook promotions, with the latter hitting nearly 40,000 followers.

While these posters are My Greatest Child's initial step in manufacturing a local product, they look forward to providing more innovative learning materials for a better educational experience for all children. As of writing, My Greatest Child has confirmed and printed seven designs of their latest product, My Greatest Child Educational Flashcards.

The Made in Singapore Awards was held on November 20 at the Conrad Centennial Singapore.

This year's nominations were judged by a panel consisting of Richard Loi, partner at SEA Consumer & Industrial Products Industry Audit and assurance leader at Deloitte & Touche LLP; Toh Kim Teck, assurance partner at Foo Kon Tan LLP; NEXIA TS Managing Director Henry Tan; and Narissa Chen, partner at Audit & Assurance Mazars LLP.
