EKCO Forging Products Co., Ltd bags Asian Export Award for automotive

Their Jet Ball Joints smoothly replaces the full performance of vehicles’ original ball joints.

Singapore Business Review and Hong Kong Business magazines acknowledged Asia's leading export companies and their trailblazing products and services in the recently concluded Asian Export Awards 2018.

On its inaugural year, the Asian Export Awards lauds exceptional products and services that have remarkably enhanced a company's business in the regional export scene. This pinnacle event for Asia's best exporters is open to two divisions—the large corporate for big companies with group turnover of over $300m and the local champion for small or medium-sized enterprises.

EKCO Forging Products Co., Ltd bagged the Asian Export Award for automotive under the local champion division.

Developing their own products for the global market under their Jet Ball Joints brand, EKCO Forging Products offers a range of superior quality auto suspension parts, including upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, rack ends, center links, stabilizer links, pitman arms as well as idler arms for pickup trucks and passenger cars replacement application.

EKCO Forging Products is dedicated to deliver top quality ball joints that perfectly replace the full performance of a vehicle's original ball joints.

The company operated under three key endeavours to make sure they make the best for their customers.

First, the EKCO Forging Products only manufactures well-fabricated ball joints to enhance durability and safety.

The ball joint's most critical component is a ball stud, which requires a proper step of heat to improve strength and minimize the wear of the ball stud as it corresponds to the collapse of wheels, which causes the vehicle to lost control. This procedure is missing from most REM brands for ball joints, but not in EKCO Forging Products’ manufacturing process. In addition to this, the company also designs and makes forging die in-house.

They also control the entire forging process to achieve the desirable mechanical properties of the ball joints’ body.

Over four decades of experiences and intense know-how in hot forging and machining process, supplying to many global-brand customers namely Hino, Isuzu (Tripetch), Honda, Shinmaywa (Thailand), etc., the company started to develop its own products to the global market under “Jet Ball Joints” brand.

“As an autopart maker, we will not risk any life on the road with suboptimal products,” the company said.

With all components, JET BALL JOINTS can absorb all impact forces and heavy loads carrying, and create the exceptional experience in driving. The product’s warranty last for a year or about 100,000 km.

The Asian Export Awards 2018, co-presented by Singapore Business Review and Hong Kong Business magazines, was held on November 20 at the Conrad Centennial Singapore.

This year's nominations were judged by a panel consisting of Vikas Sharma, Corporate Finance Director at Deloitte Southeast Asia; Marc Philip, Senior Partner, South East Asia Operations Consulting Leader & Singapore Management at PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (Singapore) Pte Ltd; Kuntha Chelvanathan, Partner Supply Chain and Operations at Ernst & Young Advisory Pte. Ltd.; and Chong Cheng Yuan, Partner & Industry Lead, Industrial Manufacturing at RSM.
