SBR Technology Excellence Awards winner Fireblocks secures businesses’ acceleration into Web3 & DeFi

More than 1,200 digital asset and crypto businesses around the world are now powered by Fireblocks, a technology company that provides enterprise customers with the most secure infrastructure for launching new Web3 products and services.

In 2019, just as the cryptocurrency market hit one of its biggest inflection points, Fireblocks’ co-founders, Michael Shaulov, Idan Ofrat and Pavel Berengoltz, identified a shift in the motivation of cybercriminals from hacking traditional finance to digital assets, and a lack of solutions for securing digital assets.

To address this gap in the market, Fireblocks provides an enterprise-grade technology suite that businesses can use to build, run and scale its operations using a host of tools for securing, transferring, storing, staking, and issuing crypto and digital assets.

Fireblocks is honoured to be awarded the 2022 SBR Technology Excellence Award in the Cryptocurrency – Technology category for its leadership in enabling businesses to securely participate in the emerging Web3 and decentralised finance (DeFi) industries.

The annual awards programme recognises exceptional companies in Singapore that are riding the digital disruption wave and leading the technological revolution in their respective industries. This award comes on the heels of several major company milestones for Fireblocks, including becoming the single largest global liquidity network in the crypto and digital asset industry, expanding its global team and customer base fivefold over the last 12 months, and solidifying its position and commitment to Singapore as a smart nation with a 1300% increase in office headcount.

Today, Fireblocks’ platform and APIs are used by over one thousand crypto and digital asset organisations and have securely transferred more than US$2t in cryptocurrency and digital asset transactions and custody to manage treasury and digital asset operations and to provide access to DeFi.

Most recently, Fireblocks raised $550m in Series E funding, increasing its total valuation to US$8b, making it the world's most valuable digital asset infrastructure provider. Fireblocks provides institutions with unrivalled access to DeFi - ranging from designing the most profitable DeFi portfolio to implementing staking and yield farming strategies across any protocol and becoming whitelisted to participate in permissioned DeFi via Aave Arc. The Fireblocks Network also offers its customers fast and secure on-chain settlement for thousands of cryptocurrencies, facilitating global trade 24/7.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
