Nominations for SBR’s Made in Singapore & Designed in Singapore Awards 2022 are now open

Deadline for submission of entries is on 30 September 2022.

Singapore’s manufacturing sector continues to face significant challenges, including the country’s recovery from the impacts of the pandemic and the risks from the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Whilst this is the case, the economy has also observed an uptick, exhibiting strong growth as businesses adapted to ensure business continuity and job security.

The country is expected to continue investing in new opportunities that come with the rise in demand for online channels and digitalisation. The sector is encouraged to maximise this situation to further establish the trajectory of its recovery post-pandemic.

With this, Singapore Business Review is now officially accepting nominations for this year’s Made in Singapore Awards and Designed in Singapore Awards. The awards programme, which is now in its 6th year, aims to recognise exceptional products that are proudly manufactured and designed in Singapore.

The nomination is open to all companies in Singapore that produce business-to-consumer and business-to-business products. Products that are manufactured in Singapore can be nominated for the Made in Singapore Awards; whilst products that are conceptualised by a Singapore-based office or team but are manufactured outside the country can be nominated for the Designed in Singapore Awards.

Products should have been publicly released over the last 24 calendar months to be eligible for the awards programme. Those that are launched prior to the said period can still be nominated as long as they have undergone recent improvements.

“We are honored to receive the Made in Singapore award for our TemPreserve Insulative Cooler and the Designed in Singapore award for the Quikwrap Nano. These two awards show strong recognition of our commitment to innovation and sustainability to meet market needs and address our customer critical packaging challenges,” said Chee Yap, Executive Director for Innovation & Development, APAC at Sealed Air Singapore Pte Ltd. The firm was recognised with the SBR Made in Singapore Awards and Designed in Singapore Awards 2021 - Packaging category.

The nomination period is open until 30 September 2022. An esteemed panel of judges will carefully deliberate the submissions. Winners will be invited to attend the prestigious awards dinner in November 2022.
