Adventus Singapore takes SBR National Business Awards for IT Services

The company was lauded for seamless cross-border collaboration with cloud solutions.

Adventus Singapore took home the award for the IT Services category in the recently held Singapore Business Review's National Business Awards. Launched in 2016, the SBR National Business Awards honours local and homegrown companies in Singapore and recognises their outstanding projects that greatly contribute to Singapore's fast-growing economy.

Over the years, the rapid expansion of RRJ Capital -- a global investment firm, has given rise to a need for a centralised system for ease of communication amongst its different overseas entities.

The following are some points raised by RRJ before engaging Adventus:

To address the challenges above, Adventus devised a strategy using Microsoft 365 to move RRJ Capital towards Cloud and to adopt a serverless environment.

Solutions and services Adventus included in their strategy were:

• Mitigation of Email server -- from Local Exchange to Microsoft 365
• Mitigation of File Server -- to Microsoft SharePoint
• Migration of Active Directory (AD) -- from local AD to Azure AD
• Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 Account
• Adventus Managed Services including Microsoft 365 and Backup and Disaster Recovery Services

Through Adventus Cloud Migration Solutions and Services, RRJ now has one universal infrastructure platform instead of a few separate, localised ones.

Additionally, with the cloud-based solutions provided by Adventus, RRJ's IT infrastructure is now easier to manage. There is no longer the need for regular time-consuming hardware maintenance at each location.

Moreover, the cloud-based Microsoft 365 solutions that Adventus provided are accessible from any location around the world. Hence, enabling larger mobility of RRJ's workforce. 

Adventus also implemented a cost-saving solution. RRJ achieved some significant cost savings from not having to hire the high-costing manpower which was previously needed to support and maintain any on-premise IT infrastructure.
