Consideration to fly with Singapore Airlines plunges after SQ321 incident
Despite the drop, SIA remains the most considered airline amongst Singaporeans.
The SQ321 turbulence incident has led to a decline in the percentage of Singaporeans considering flying with Singapore Airlines.
Data from YouGov showed that the airline's consideration score fell 15 points to 53.3 by 29 May from 68.0 on 21 May, when the incident happened.
"Consideration Score measures the percentage of consumers who would consider flying with the airline on their next trip," YouGov explained.
The airline's consideration score, however, rebounded in the weeks after the incident, hitting 55.9 by the end of May.
"Despite the significant fall in consumers who would consider booking their next flight with SIA, the flag carrier remains by far the most considered airline among consumers in Singapore," YouGov added.
The airline remains the top choice of Singaporeans (56%), followed by Scoot (28%), the low-cost airline of the SIA Group.
