Keppel Infrastructure subsidiary buys 18% stake in Zerowaste Asia for $5m
The two companies look to maximise intersecting reusable waste solutions.
Keppel Seghers, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Infrastructure Holdings, has entered into an agreement to acquire an 18.18% stake in waste treatment company Zerowaste Asia for $5m, according to an SGX filing.
Zerowaste Asia focuses on extracting heavy metals from incineration fly ash and bottom ash for further ash reuse, whilst Keppel Seghers’ waste-to-energy (WTE) technology aims to reduce solid waste’s volume to be landfilled by up to 90%.
