UPS Singapore names Michelle Ho as new managing director

She's a 23-year UPS veteran.

UPS strengthens its Asia Pacific management team with the appointment of Michelle Ho as Managing Director of UPS Singapore.

According to a release from UPS, in this role, the 23-year UPS veteran will assume responsibility for UPS’s express delivery and logistics operations in Singapore. 

“Asia’s growing middle-class will continue to drive trade growth, and Singapore plays an integral role with its prime location and world-class infrastructure,” said Jim O’Gara, President of UPS South Asia District. “Though businesses are anticipating an uncertain economic environment, we strive to help our customers remain competitive by leveraging our multi-hub strategy in Asia and our vertical logistics capabilities.” 

Ho most recently served as Vice President of Finance, UPS Asia Pacific Region, where she was instrumental in driving the company’s shared services strategy, and efforts to optimize UPS’s network and identifying new growth opportunities. 

“I am looking forward to the leadership that Michelle will bring to UPS Singapore. Her  regional experience and deep knowledge of global markets will provide keen insights into the markets and highly benefit businesses in Singapore,” O’Gara added.

Ho began her career with UPS in 1993 as a finance and accounting collection supervisor in Singapore. Over the years, she assumed various roles including UPS’s China District Controller, Director of Finance and Treasury for UPS Asia Pacific Region, and the Vice President of Finance, UPS Asia Pacific Region. Ho champions women empowerment and diversity causes, and actively contributes as a committee member of UPS’s Women Leadership Development program.
