TADA Taxi app kicks off in Singapore

It will have an instant cashout system for drivers.

TADA Taxi launched its mobile app in Singapore, South Korean startup Mass Vehicle Ledger (MVL) revealed. They added that they will partner with Singapore taxi firms to provide a larger pool of drivers for commuters as they use TADA.

According to the firm, about 2,000 taxi drivers have registered on the TADA application.

The app kicked off after the firm received the Third Party Taxi Booking Service Provider Licence from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on 7 November. Like the TADA ride-hailing application, TADA Taxi will be operating on a zero-commission model, and no levy will be imposed on the booking fee set by respective taxi companies for drivers.

TADA commuters can enjoy the option of booking taxis from the existing TADA application as well as TADA’s newest dedicated taxi application, TADA Taxi.

“TADA Taxi will benefit drivers who find that driving taxis may help them generate more revenue, and certain demographics of riders who ultimately prefer taxis over PHC options,” MVL CEO Kay Woo commented.

The firm explained that they have rolled out an instant cashout system for drivers to be able to enjoy their available earnings in their bank accounts immediately.

Korean startup MVL announced in July their plans to roll out what it claims to be the first blockchain-based ride-hailing service in the world in Singapore. Woo noted that the firm eyes to expand to TADA to other Asian countries including Vietnam and South Korea.
