SingPost appoints Merrill Lynch as financial advisor for Australian operations

It is part of the group’s strategy to strengthen its Australian market presence.

Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) has appointed Merrill Lynch Markets Australia Pty Limited as its financial advisor for enhancing operations in Australia.

This decision comes as part of SingPost’s strategic review aimed at maximising shareholder returns and strengthening its market position.

Following a strategic review initiated in May 2023, SingPost outlined key thrusts to scale its presence in Australia, including exploring partnerships for growth, reducing acquisition debts through equity contributions, and establishing independent valuation benchmarks.

The group also said it remains committed to pursuing mergers and acquisitions and exploring liquidity options.
