Here’s why SMRT’s potential project in Indonesia will further erode the firm’s earnings
Skyrocketing expenses await the transportation company.
The soon to be delisted transportation firm has reportedly participated in a public tender in Bandung City in Indonesia, but analysts think this would take a toll in its earnings.
According to a report by OCBC, the outcome of the tender evaluation is yet to be announced, but it’s expected to be a negative for SMRT.
“We think SMRT’s earnings may see further erosion due to higher than expected expenses should they win the tender for this project,” OCBC said.
