C&C to distribute Gogoro’s battery-swapping system in Singapore

Shell Recharge partnered with C&C for the battery-swapping stations.

Cycle and Carriage (C&C) has partnered with Nasdaq-listed Gogoro to exclusively distribute its battery-swapping system and Smartscooters in the Singapore market.

In March 2023, Gogoro and C&C teamed up with foodpanda to trial Gogoro's Smartscooters and battery-swapping platform for sustainable mobility solutions in Singapore which received positive feedback. The pilot is set to finish in September.

The partners have secured licensing rights to install Gogoro's battery-swapping GoStations in Singapore after a series of tests on safety, environmental conditions, emergency protocols, and maintenance, based on the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards.

C&C has partnered with Shell Recharge to introduce Gogoro’s battery-swapping GoStations at Shell service stations in Singapore, starting with the first GoStation at the Shell Yio Chu Kang service station on 158 Yio Chu Kang Road.

Additional GoStations at other Shell service stations across the island are expected in the next two years.

In addition, Gogoro’s battery-swapping network supports various vehicle makers in developing Gogoro-powered vehicles.

Currently, there are 11 vehicle brands and over 55 vehicle models worldwide powered by the Gogoro Network.

By Q4 2024, Gogoro Smartscooters C&C aims to launch three new electric models: Gogoro SuperSport, Gogoro Premium, and Gogoro Viva Mix.
