CWT Commodities has no intention to sell firm

Company maintains independence despite news of planned sale of two warehousing firms' sale

Singapore-based CWT Commodities Pte Ltd, a unit of CWT, is not for sale and is expanding warehouse operations including another facility in the United States, an official said on Friday.

"We are doing well so we do not have intention to sell (the company). Our intention is to keep it independent," Jennifer Tan, the company's manager for London Metal Exchange operations, according to a Reuters report.

News of the planned sale of Italian-based Pacorini Group's metals warehousing unit to trading and mining giant Glencore International had fuelled speculation other warehousing firms may follow, traders said.

Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
