ComfortDelGro invests $31.2mn in third driving school in China

CD has acquired a new site in Liangjjang New Business District, Western China to establish its third driving school.

According to DMG, the site measures 44,693 sq m and will be ready by end of FY 2011.

The three-storey building will comprise of a training centre, an administrative centre, a testing circuit, as well as a basement car park.

The new school will provide driver training for saloon cars, buses as well as trucks. Total investment in the new driving school is expected to be RMB165m (S$31.2m). Upon completion, DMG estimates the new investment will contribute additional S$1-2m/year beginning FY 2012.

Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
