Nera Telecommunications appoints Erik Thorsen as Director

He will fill in the vacancy arising from the resignation of a Director, Mr Jorgen Larsen.

The Board of Nera Telecommunications announced the appointment of Erik Thorsen as Director.

Mr Thorsen, 56, has held top management positions in public listed companies previously. In addition, he has extensive experience in consultation, investment, sales and marketing. Currently, Mr Erik Thorsen is the Chairman of the Board of Eltek ASA, a listed company in Norway and also a substantial shareholder of the Company.

The Nominating Committee has reviewed Mr Thorsen’s qualification and experience and recommended that Mr Thorsen be appointed as a Director. The Board of Directors accepted the Nominating Committee’s recommendation and approved the same.

He is also a member of the Nominating Committee and Remuneration Committee, according to a Nera Telecommunications report.

He held Various board and advisory positions in listed and private companies 2009-present Before this he was President and CEO of Renewable Energy Corporation ASA, a Norwegian listed company 2005 to 2009 and President and CEO of TOMRA SYSTEMS ASA, a Norwegian listed company from 1996 to 2005.
