Bridge Alliance appoints Hui Weng Cheong Chairman

Mr. Hui is CEO International of SingTel and he succeeds Mr. Lim Chuan Poh as the Chairman of the Board of Bridge Alliance.

“I am grateful for the support of the Bridge Alliance members and look forward to working closely with all my fellow Board members to build on the success of the Bridge Alliance.” said Mr. Hui.

Mr. Hui was appointed CEO International of SingTel on 1 December 2010. He is responsible for the Group’s overseas investments and strengthening of relationships with overseas partners. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Hui served as Chief Operating Officer of SingTel’s Thai associate, Advanced Info Service (AIS).

Mr. Lim Chuan Poh was the Chairman since the inception of the Bridge Alliance on 3 November 2004. Over the past 6 years, Mr. Lim had led the Bridge Alliance to grow from strength to strength as Asia Pacific’s largest and leading mobile alliance. Mr. Lim retired from SingTel at the end of year 2010.

Mr. Lim said, “I wish to thank all Bridge Alliance members for their support and cooperation during my term as Chairman, it had been a great pleasure working with everyone. I would like to especially thank the CEOs of the Bridge Alliance members for their commitment and friendships.”
