Alcatel-Lucent appoints Michael Higgins as president and managing director for Singapore

He will also spearhead Brunei office.

In a release, Alcatel-Lucent has appointed Michael Higgins as its president and managing director for Singapore and Brunei. He will be responsible for sales, marketing and operations including implementation of the company’s business strategies.

Prior to this appointment, Mick was the Leader of Alcatel-Lucent’s wireless Asia Pacific business. In this role he was responsible for providing customer solutions and sales support for Alcatel-Lucent’s radio access (GSM, WCDMA, LTE, CDMA and Small Cells), end to end wireless (Radio/Core) and mobile core businesses in the Asia Pacific.

Mick joined Alcatel-Lucent in early 2007 as the Product Management Leader for controllers as part of the Multi-service Radio Access Division. Since then he has held roles of increasing responsibility and leadership in the wireless business for Alcatel-Lucent until his recent appointment in Singapore.
