StarHub's net profit dropped 12.4% to $73.7m in Q1
On back of higher handset subsidies.
StarHub reported that its net profit dropped 12.4% year-on-year to $73.7m in the first quarter.
The group's profit from operations recorded a 15% decline on back of the higher amount of handset subsidies as an
increased number of new and re-contract customers signed up for the new smartphones.
The group also reported lower mobile service revenue on back of fewer pre-paid customers, which was mitigated by higher revenue from post-paid mobile services.
Pay TV revenue inched up by 2.4% while broadband revenue contracted 10.8%.
