M1 unveils unified communications hosting platform for businesses

It will be offered at $10.70 per month.

Aiming to break the borders of the office desk, the member of Singapore’s telco triumvirate launched its hosted unified communications solution for modern business to boost productivity.

According to a press release by M1, the platform includes instant messaging, igital voice, conferencing, network presence detection, web collaboration, made available through a user-friendly desktop and mobile client.

Additionally, M1 said the pay-as-you-use subscription frees businesses from IT or telecommunications infrastructure investments and business costs.

“This allows all kinds of businesses, from start-ups that do not wish to wire up their offices for fixed line phones, businesses with legacy telephony-only solutions, and larger corporates that wish to consolidate their existing proprietary communications solutions, to enjoy the benefits of M1’s enterprise-grade solution,” M1 said.

According to Willis Sim, chief product development and corporate solutions officer of M1, the telco’s hosted UC replaces obsolete communications tools with more effective modern tools, and ensuring they are easy for their mobile workers to pick up, as well as for the business to manage.
