M1 rolls out remote activity monitoring service for seniors

To help seniors who are living alone.

M1 has launched a smart activity monitoring service to allow caregivers to support seniors who live on their own.

Through the service activity monitoring, caregivers will be able to access real time information to help them monitor vulnerable seniors in an un-intrusive manner.

Under the service, authorised caregivers will be able to access activity information through a desktop or mobile Internet browser. The service will have a built-in data analytics tool to help caregivers identify trends and patterns in the data collected.

“With the service, concerned caregivers will be able to receive real time activity information, without intruding into the senior’s privacy,” said Mr P. Subramaniam, Chief Marketing Officer, M1.

The M1 Smart Activity Monitoring Service is priced at $14.66 per month, inclusive of one motion sensor, installation fees, and access to the portal where the caregiver can access both real time and historical activity information. Additional motion sensors are available at $103.80 per sensor.

A one-time sign-up and installation fee of $214 applies. The M1 Smart Activity Monitoring Service is open to M1 fibre customers. The M1 Smart Activity Monitoring Service will be available for sign-up from 10 March 2016.
