HDB launches parking ticket renewal app

Around 50,000 motorists can renew their season parking ticket in less than two minutes.

In a release, HDB is launching a suite of new services across all mobile platforms. Some of these new services include:

        a) Android version of Mobile@HDB
        b) Renewal of season parking tickets App
        c) Access to season parking and parking offence information App
        d) Push notifications for Build-To-Order (BTO) sales launches

With the launch of the Android version of Mobile@HDB, more mobile device users can now enjoy easy access to HDB services on the move. HDB estimates that more than 120,000 Android users will benefit from this newly launched application.

Motorists form another large group who will benefit from the latest updates to Mobile@HDB. An estimated 50,000 motorists each month can now renew their season parking ticket in less than two minutes using their mobile devices.

HDB’s Group Director of Information Services, Mr Leong Chin Yew said, “HDB leverages continuously on new technological capabilities to serve our customers better. Given the rising popularity of Android-based phones in Singapore and the requests from these users, this launch is timely. It will expand the options available for our customers to access HDB’s suite of services on the move.”

With the new mobile feature of car park related services, motorists can renew their season parking tickets, and access carpark information on the move; bringing convenience to more than 90,000 motorists.

HDB’s Director of the Car parks Department, Mr Eng Soh Seng, said, “The launch of this new car park services on-the-go is part of HDB’s efforts to bring greater convenience to our residents and motorists. Especially for motorists who do not renew their season parking ticket through GIRO, they can now proceed with the renewal using their phones. They also need not visit and queue at HDB Branches just to carry out this monthly task.”

Other features that customers can look forward to with this round of enhancements are: registration for HDB Resale Seminars for resale flat buyers and sellers and the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Courses for real estate Salespersons, maintenance feedback for industrial properties, push notifications for Build-To-Order (BTO) sales launches (iPhone only), and a feature to show nearby HDB car parks.

The Mobile@HDB application can be downloaded free of charge from the iTunes App Store or Google Play.
