SGX expands further into China, names listings chief as head of business
To attract large IPOs.
Singapore Exchange goes deeper into the Chinese market, after struggling to bring in more IPOs from the mainland.
According to a report by Reuters, SGX’s Lawrence Wong will relocate to China and continue to head the listings business. The exchange has established a wholly foreign-owned enterprise in China and will set up branches in Shanghai and Beijing, in addition to its current representative office in Beijing.
