Securities turnover grows 19% YoY in July

It increased to $21.5b in July 2023.

The securities daily average value (SDAV) recorded 14% gains year-on-year to $1b in July 2023, SGX said in its market update. 

The Straits Times Index grew 5.2% during the month to 3,373.98. For the seven months of 2023, the stock index grew 3.8%, which outperformed the most regional Southeast Asian equity indices.

SGX said the market turnover value of structured warrants and daily leverage certificates (DLC) increased to 17% YoY in July to $614m. Turnover of the recently issued Singapore Depository Receipts (SDR) on Thailand blue-chip companies increased 37% MoM. 

Turnover of exchange-traded funds (ETF) gained 16% MoM to $256m, largely contributed by the two STI-tracking ETFs.

SGX-listed firms continued to tap the equity capital markets in July, with secondary fundraising higher MoM to $1.2b.

On SGX Fixed Income, Asia’s leading international bond marketplace, the amount issued from 121 new bond listings was up MoM at $28.3b in July.

This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
