COSCO Singapore appoints Mr. Wu Zi Heng as Executive Director

He started working with COSCO back in the 1980s after studying marine navigation in Dalian Maritime University.

Mr. Wu Zi Heng, born in October 1956, was initially with COSCO Guangzhou as a deck officer and became a ship’s master in November 1993. From November 1993 to December 1995, he worked in COSCO Xiamen as a Deputy Director, in executive office and passenger shipping department and Assistant Managing Director.

From December 1995 to September 1999, Mr. Wu was Deputy Managing Director of COSCO Xiamen. From September 1999 to December 2002, he worked as a Director of COSCO Group head office in the research and development center.

From December 2002 to March 2008, Mr. Wu was Chairman of the National Committee of Chinese Seamen & Construction Workers Union. From July 2008 to November 2011, he was Deputy Managing Director of China Ocean Shipping Tally Company.

Mr. Wu’s appointment was announced by the Board of Directors of COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Limited.
