Yangzijiang Shipbuilding clinches first order for LNG carriers
They are scheduled to be delivered to an unnamed European customer by 2025-2026.
Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has clinched its first order for two 175,000 cubic meters liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, the company announced in a press release.
An unnamed European customer placed the orders. They are scheduled to be delivered between 2025 and 2026.
These vessels will be Yangzijiang’s first GTT Mark III LNG carrier order after obtaining the GTT license in early September this year. They are of the membrane type.

According to Yangzijiang, the vessels will be equipped with GTT Mark III Flex membrane tanks, and will daopt two dual-fuel MAN 5G70ME-C10.5-GA-EGRBP models for the main propulsion system.
It will also have a re-liquefaction system with a capacity of 1.5 tons/hour (t/h), which should reportedly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
