NOL’s shipping volumes up 7% in FY11
As higher volumes were carried on the Intra-Asia trade lane.
For the six weeks of P12 2011, container shipping volumes increased 6% while average revenue per FEU (Forty-foot Equivalent Unit) fell 14% over the same period last year. The increase in volume was mainly due to higher volumes carried on the Intra-Asia trade lane. The decline in average revenue per FEU was mainly due to lower rates in the major trade lanes.
For FY 2011, container shipping volumes increased 7% while average revenue per FEU fell by 10%, over FY 2010 levels.
