Sheng Siong Group names Tan Ling San as vice chairman and executive director

The appointment is executive and effective on October 6, 2016.

Mr. Tan Ling San is responsible for the administration and implementation of the Group's policies and strategies, and evaluating new growth areas for the Group's business. Mr. Tan is also assisting the executive chairman in managing the Board.

According to a release, Mr. Tan had joined the Group in 2006, where he was responsible for administration and implementation of the Group's policies and strategies, and evaluating new growth areas for the Group s business. Mr. Tan had previously served as the Executive Director of the Company for the period from 22 June 2011 up until 27 April 2016.

After his cessation as the company's executive director, Mr. Tan was employed by the company as a senior board adviser, and continued to remain a director of both Sheng Siong Supermarket and CMM Marketing Management, which are subsidiaries of the company.
