The Hour Glass Ltd names Saw Phaik Hwa as Director

The Board believes that her entrepreneurship and business acumen will contribute positively to the Board members.

The Board of The Hour Glass Ltd announced the appointment of Saw Phaik Hwa as Director effective 1 September 2012. Aside from being an Independent Non-Executive Director, she will also be a member of the Audit Committee.

Ms Saw, 57, is currently the CEO of Auric Pacific Group since May 2012. Before this she was Chief Executive Officer of SMRT Corporation Limited from December 2002 to January 2012. She was instrumental in broadening SMRT’s geographical footprint as well as establishing SMRT’s presence overseas with the opening of offices in the Middle East and China which serve as springboards to opportunities in those regions, according to a The Hour Glass Ltd. report.

Ms Saw Phaik Hwa graduated with an Honours degree in Biochemistry from the University of Singapore and attended an Advanced Management Programme at the University of Hawaii.
