Survey reveals must-haves for online shoppers in Singapore

Free shipping cost has topped the list of considerations when Singapore consumers are shopping online, according to a survey by Shopify.
Its Retail Report 2024 showed that 71% of respondents in the city-state expect shipping costs to be free when they make a purchase online. 55% said retailers should have debit and credit cards as payment methods in their e-commerce platforms, while 51% expect online sellers to have a free return option.
Inside brick-and-mortar stores, more than half of Singapore shoppers agreed staff should be knowledgeable, while there is enough stock of products to go around.
