Stellar Lifestyle opens Hive Express at Raffles Place MRT Station

Stellar Lifestyle has launched Hive Express, its first innovation space at Raffles Place MRT station.
The new space builds on the success of Hive 2.0, aiming to speed up retail innovations across Singapore’s transit network in a more efficient and cost-effective way.
Hive Express is part of Stellar Lifestyle’s goal to bring high-tech retail to MRT stations, with plans to introduce smart vending machines and self-service checkout stores across Singapore’s rail network. The space repurposes open areas in SMRT-operated stations to offer unique retail experiences for commuters.
"By harnessing new technologies and SMRT's vast rail network, we can deliver unique retail experiences in compact spaces, enhancing convenience and enriching the daily journeys of commuters," said Tony Heng, president of Stellar Lifestyle.
The first partner at Hive Express is RedMart, Singapore’s leading online supermarket. Its physical vending machines at Raffles Place MRT station offer daily essentials at the same prices as its online store, accessible via Lazada’s app. Products include snacks, drinks, protein supplements, and personal care items tailored for busy commuters.
"We want to help busy commuters save time by seamlessly integrating grocery shopping into their daily commute, whilst providing a wide assortment with competitive prices," said Martin Daney, head of RedMart at Lazada Singapore.
