Check out these new-to-market restaurants which are about to open at Tanjong Pagar Centre

Japan Railway Company will open its first cafe here.

Singapore's tallest building will be home to plenty of new restaurants once it is completed in the third quarter. Tanjong Pagar Centre will feature a number new-to-market brands, foremost among which is East Japan Railway Company's first overseas Japan Rail Cafe outlet.

The tourism-themed Japan Rail Cafe will offer kawaii products and gourmet food, in-store workshops and pop-up displays on destinations in Japan in collaboration with various Japanese entities including the Japan National Tourism Organization, as well as travel itinerary recommendations for visiting Japan.

It will also host Japanese-themed cultural events at Tanjong Pagar Centre’s urban park, and house an in-store ticket counter where visitors can purchase a variety of train passes.

In addition, Tanjong Pagar centre will house new restaurant entrants such as SBCD Tofu House, a Korean restaurant which is opening its first flagship outlet in Singapore specialising in Sundubu; The Little Island, which serves authentic Penang-style dishes; and Chalong, which serves Thai fusion grilled bento boxes.

Other tenants opening their first outlets in the CBD include Mrs Pho Vietnamese restaurant and Crave Nasi Lemak, the original Adam Road nasi lemak.

Other retailers which have already taken up space at Tanjong Pagar Centre are artisanal coffee boutique Jewel Coffee; Danish cafe chain Joe & The Juice; luxury chocolatier Royce'; Mexican restaurant Guzman y Gomez; The Daily Cut, a salad shop; Indonesian restaurant IndoChili; and The Café by HIC, which serves cold pressed juices and dietary drinks.
