Global home appliances brand Beko launches in Singapore

Brings energy saving refrigerators to island.

Beko, a leading global home appliances brand from Europe, has launched is now available in Singapore.

Beko offers resource-efficient home appliances that come with smart technologies, exclusive designs and functionality, the company said in a release.

Beko’s refrigerators, washing machines, dryers and dishwashers are now available at various retail outlets including Courts Megastore, Courts Causeway Point and Courts Jurong Point. Singapore will be Beko’s hub for South East Asia.

The Beko collection has been brought into Singapore in collaboration with Thakral Corporation Ltd through its wholly-owned Singapore subsidiary, Digital Info Technology Pte Ltd. (DIT). DIT is the exclusive distributor of Beko in Singapore.

Beko is the main international household appliances brand of Arçelik Group, the third largest white goods company in Europe, and is currently sold in over 100 countries worldwide.

Beko said the strength of its brand can be seen in the continuous growth of its market share across Europe. In the last 5 years in overall European market, Beko has been the brand with the highest unit market share increase.

Beko is also the top selling refrigerator brand in Western Europe and it is ranked 2nd in the freezer and 3rd in the washing machine, dishwasher and cooker segments. This year, Beko became the 2nd white goods brand in Western Europe, and recently achieved the No1 position in the MDA6 Free Standing category in the same region. Beko has also leadership positions in very competitive markets such as the UK, Poland and Lithuania, Based on retail panel results of a global research company.

Beko's product lines include refrigerators with energy saving features and A+++ and A++ energy ratings, the equivalent of Singapore’s 4-tick standard which is an excellent rating for energy efficiency. The brand also offers energy saving washing machines, washer dryer combo machines and heat-pump tumble dryer range.
