Courts Asia soft opens first "big-box" megastore in Malaysia ahead of schedule

Located in Bandar Sri Damansara, Klang Valley.

Mainboard-listed Courts Asia Limited (Courts Asia)announced that its first ‘Big-Box’ Megastore in Malaysia has soft opened today, ahead of the original schedule of August 2013. Official opening of the Megastore is slated for July 20, 2013.

This 108,000 sq. ft. two-storey Sri Damansara Megastore will be the Group’s largest store in Malaysia, and will be located in 8trium in Bandar Sri Damansara, on Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2). The retail haven is part of an integrated business-retail cum leisure concept development that will serve an immediate population of over 750,000 in this area. The Sri Damansara Megastore will offer the largest range of electrical, IT and furniture products in Malaysia and a host of hi-tech and innovative retail concepts, many of which are brand new to Malaysia and exclusive to Courts. These include Courts Connect, Digital Sofa Maker, Sound Box, Mega Countdown Corner, Market Hall and Hot off the Docks.

Courts Asia’s Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Terence Donald O’Connor, said: “We are pleased to have progressed very well in Malaysia. Apart from being ahead of schedule for our very first ‘Big-Box’ Megastore in Malaysia, we celebrated the launch of our new 14,000 sq. ft. store in Amanjaya, Sg. Petani, earlier in March this year.
