CapitaLand Limited appoints Dr Hu Tsu Tau as Senior Advisor

Dr Hu will offer his recommendations on strategic and governance-related issues, including matters concerning the Group’s investment projects.

CapitaLand Limited announced the appointment of Dr Hu Tsu Tau as Senior Advisor to the Board. This follows Dr Hu’s retirement as Chairman and Director of the Board.

As Senior Advisor to the Board, Dr Hu will advise on strategic and governance-related issues. This will include providing his perspective on the Group’s investment projects and other strategic activities.

Mr Ng Kee Choe, incoming Chairman of CapitaLand Board, said: “On behalf of the Board members and management, I would like to welcome Dr Hu as Senior Advisor to the Board. Dr Hu has provided the Board vision, stewardship and oversight since 2004. Under his sterling leadership, the Group delivered annual profit after tax exceeding S$1 billion for the sixth consecutive year in FY2011. We look forward to drawing on his wisdom and counsel in his new role as Senior Advisor as the Group enters its next phase of growth.”

In February 2012, CapitaLand announced Dr Hu’s retirement as Chairman and Director of the Board. He will also cease to serve as Chairman and a member of CapitaLand’s Investment Committee.

Mr Ng Kee Choe, a Director of CapitaLand since 16 April 2010, will succeed Dr Hu as Chairman of the Board and Chairman of CapitaLand’s Investment Committee.
