Private housing vacancy up to 6.3% in Q2
The vacancy rates in the Core Central Region and the Rest of Central Region were both at 7.9%.
Vacancy in private residential units, excluding executive condominiums, slightly increased to 6.3% during the second quarter from 6% in the previous quarter, according to the Urban Redevelopment Authority.
Government data showed that the stock of completed private residential units, excluding ECs, increased to 4,227 units, following the 2,864 additional units in the previous quarter.

The stock occupied private residential during the period rose by 2,799 units from only an 887 units increase in the previous period.
This brings the vacancy rate of completed residential units to 6.3%.
Per region, the vacancy rate at the Core Central Region and the Rest of Central Region were both at 7.9%, whilst Outside of Central Region was at 4.6%.
