Part of land at British High Commissioner's residence put up for sale

Two GCB plots at Eden Hall will be sold.

The British government’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office has launched for sale two adjoining freehold Good Class Bungalow land plots at Eden Hall on Nassim Road.

The two land plots currently form part of the garden land at Eden Hall, the official residence of the British High Commissioner, are offered to the market as two individual plots.

Though still subject to final the final survey, Plot A has a site area of approximately 18,620 sq ft and comes with approximately 36 metres of Nassim Road frontage. The guide price for Plot A is at $2,200 psf.

Meanwhile Plot B is approximately 15,634sq ft in size and has a guide price of $2,000 psf. Together, the two plots form a combined area of 34,254 sq ft. 

The sites are zoned for residential use within the designated Good Class Bungalow Area (GCBA) of Nassim Road. Interested parties can bid for Plot A or B, or Plot A and B.

CBRE, the sole marketing agent for the deal, said that it is confident that the guide prices will be exceeded by eager investors.

“CBRE has received a fair number of enquiries about the sale of these two plots and we expect a keen level of interest for this very rare investment opportunity. Eden Hall is steeped in history and the sale of the two plots represents a landmark sale in the GCB market,” said Sammi Lim, Associate Director, Investment Properties at CBRE.

Buyers can participate in the purchase via the Public Tender exercise, the terms and conditions of which will be announced in due course.​
