‘Most expensive’ 5-room HDB flat at 96A Henderson Road sells for $1.4m

The unit is located on the 41st floor of the HDB block.

A 5-room unit at 96A Henderson Road was sold for $1.4m this month, making it the most expensive HDB flat to date, Hutton said in a report.

The unit is located on the 41st floor and is only three-year-sold.

“With construction delays due to COVID, this almost new flat offers the opportunity for buyers to move in fast. It is also rare to have new 5-room flats in mature estates,” Hutton said about the unit.

“There are also plenty of amenities in the area like market, hawker centre, swimming pool, park, and shopping mall. Tiong Bahru MRT station is around five minutes’ walk away. The CBD is within a ten minutes’ drive. Alexandra Primary School is also accessible by foot,” the property expert added.

Huttons, however, said that the unit’s record may soon be overthrown by another 5-room flat on a higher level in the same block which is listed for sale at $1.5m.  

The 96A Henderson Road is amongst the tallest HDB blocks in Singapore at 48 storeys.
