HDB rents rise by 0.5% MoM in June

Across room types, only 5 Room recorded a rent drop.

HDB rents rose by 0.5% MoM and 5.5% YoY in June, according to 99.co and SRX.

Rents increased in mature estates (1.2% MoM) but decreased  in non-mature estates (0.2% MoM)

On a year-on-year comparison, rents increased for non-mature estates (5.2%) and mature estates (5.7%).

Most room types recorded MoM rent increases in June, except 5 Room, which recorded a 0.6% decrease.

3 Room, 4 Room and Executive rents rose by 1.2%, 0.1% and 1.6%, respectively.

Rental volumes grew in June, increasing by 2.7 MoM to 2,629 HDB flats. YoY, however, volumes fell by 13.5%.

The latest record was also 12.4% lower than the five-year average volume for June.

Of the total volume, 33.9% was from 3 Room, 37.2%  from 4 Room,  23.5% from 5 Room and  5.5%  from Executive.
