Chart of the day: 99.9% of ECs sold made a gross profit averaging around $300k
Most ECs sold for a profit of $100k to less than $400k.
This chart from OrangeTee shows how much executive condominiums (ECs) were resold, with most profits between $200k to $300k.
The chart also shows that the most number of ECs sold for a profit had a holding period of fewer than 10 years.

Christine Sun, Senior Vice President of Research & Analytics at OrangeTee said that almost all or 99.9% of executive condominiums sold between 2007 to 21 August 2022 were resold for a gross profit averaging around $300k each.
Of this number, 294 units yielded a gross profit of at least $500keach. In 2021, the gross profit of a Tampines resale EC hit a record $1.38m whilst another unit at Choa Chu Kang was resold for a gross profit of $1.02m.
